FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman is leading a group of economic development officials from northeastern Indiana on a trade mission to China.
The Journal Gazette reports ( http://bit.ly/Kmf7dX ) the delegation will head to China next week to meet with business and elected officials in Shanghai and two other Chinese cities. Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership President John Sampson says the region must continue to develop global relationships if it is going to be a global competitor.
Decatur Mayor John Schultz and Larry Macklin, executive director of the Adams County Economic Development Corp., also are scheduled to make the trip.
