GAS CITY, Ind. (WISH) - State Police reopened the northbound lanes of I-69 in Grant County Thursday afternoon after an early morning crash caused a semi to roll and catch fire. According to Indiana State Police, the semi was carrying auto parts.

Police tell 24-Hour News 8 the incident started around 5 a.m. when a semi rear-ended the semi carrying the auto parts causing it to roll. Several motorists trailing the accident then ran into the crash debris.

Police say the driver of the rolled semi was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police blocked off all northbound lanes on the interstate north of State Road 22 at the 59 mile marker near the Gas City exit.
