INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Metro police detectives are trying to figure out why a man opened fire inside a west side club, hitting three people.  One of the victims died a few hours later.

It happened just after 11:00pm Friday night at Patty's Showclub on 2014 W. Washington Street. Officers say a man walked into the club and started shooting. Paramedics took 21 year old Gary Dunlap and 42 year old Larry Hardy to Methodist Hospital and 21 year old Cierra Gray to Wishard Hospital.  Doctors say Dunlap died Saturday from gunshot wounds  Doctors treated and released Gray.  Hardy remains in the hospital in stable condition.

"It doesn't appear that he was after anyone specific because he just started firing at random and into the crowd striking three of the individuals," said Lt. Jeff Duhamell with the Indianapolis Metro Police Department.

Officers are looking for an hispanic man about 5' 9" tall and 250 pounds. They say he was wearing a black baseball cap with gold lettering, a long sleeved flannel black and gray checkered shirt and light blue jeans. He also has a thin mustache.

If you know anything, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS.

Detectives believe the suspect may have left the scene in a blue or dark colored Chevrolet TrailBlazer. Investigators took a bus load of potential witnesses to the Homicide Office for additional interviews.
