INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Dome in the RCA Dome has been deflated and in just a couple months the building will be imploded.
But, many memories from different events at the Dome will be forever engraved into the mines of Hoosiers.
In the summer of '84, NBA all-stars played American Olympians at Dome.
The Colts played their first regular season game at the Dome the following September. A sell-out crowd saw them lose to the Jets 23-14.
The Dome's dedication ceremony came a few days later. And that same night Purdue took on Notre Dame. Purdue won the dedication game.
The Circle City Classic has called the Dome home for more than 20 years. Many marching band's competed from the state high school level to the Bands of America.
The Rolling Stones performed at the Dome in 1989. In 1990, the Dome claimed a national record for attendance at a high school basketball game. Damon Bailey led Bedford-North Lawrence to the state basketball championship in front of more than 40,000 people.
And, the final event at the Dome represents the convention business that helped the city sell the Dome concept back in the 80s.
A firefighters training conference has been held at the Dome for the past 11 years. It'll be back, next year, but at Lucas Oil Stadium.
