Ruthanne Gordon joined WISH-TV in July, 1981. Gordon started at Channel 8 as a regional reporter for Central Indiana, then became a general assignment reporter, and is now doing double duty as co-anchor of Daybreak Weekend and working the assignment desk during the week.

Before her appointment to WISH-TV, Gordon served as anchor/reporter for two years at WKEF-TV in Dayton, Ohio. Prior to WKEF-TV, she served three years as anchor/reporter at WTHI-TV in Terre Haute, Indiana. She also worked in her hometown of Greensburg, Indiana for WTRE-AM/FM.

Gordon attended the University of Evansville through which she got the chance to study in Europe. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications. She has won numerous awards for journalism and reporting from organizations such as the Society of Professional Journalists, The Associated Press and United Press International.

Gordon, her husband Jeffrey and their three children live on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
