INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Colts quarterback Peyton Manning will be a cover boy once again this fall, but this time, his Wheaties box goes beyond just the package.
Manning, NBA star Kevin Garnett, and a few other elite athletes sat down at Conseco Fieldhouse Thursday to talk about a new cereal they had a hand in creating.
Wheaties Fuel; debuting Sept. 9, is developed for men, and will be loaded with nutrional needs to fuel athletic performance. The Colts quarterback says the year-long tasting process was fulfilling in more ways than one.
"It was kind of hard to find the time when to sample them because you don't normally eat ten boxes of cereal in the middle of the day," Manning said. "I actually had Colts strength coach John Torine sit down with me and taste them together and bounce ideas off each other."
The new cereal will sit alongside the iconic original breakfast
of champions on store shelves.
Manning and his Colts teammates are getting ready to report
to training camp in Terre Haute. Move-in day is set for August
2.
A couple from Benton County was arrested for meth Saturday afternoon.
