BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University officials kicked off the IU Tailgate Tour in Bloomington Tuesday night to draw attention, and hopefully fans, to all athletic events.
In hopes of generating new excitement with sports fans, the university is bringing together all of their head coaches and putting them on the road to promote upgrades and additions to the school's athletic facilities ( see the entire IU Tailgate Tour schedule ).
A new entryway to the IU football stadium not only encloses the facility, it transforms the whole football experience. Inside, there are classrooms and a new training facility. The building can even be transformed into a banquet hall.
Basketball isn't left out either. A new training facility on the south side of Assembly Hall is almost completed. Coach Tom Crean said the rebuilding effort is great for morale.
