SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) - Driver Michael Andretti and longtime Indianapolis 500 starter Pat Vidan were inducted into the Auto Racing Hall of Fame on Thursday.
Andretti made 16 Indianapolis 500 starts between 1984 and 2007, and though he didn’t win as a driver, he has been in the winner’s circle twice as a team owner.
Vidan was chief starter for the race from 1962 through 1979. He died in 1983.
The Auto Racing Hall of Fame, established in 1952, is located at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum.
