INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Fuzzy's Ultra Premium Vodka will be the title sponsor for IndyCar's "Triple Crown" challenge next season.
The "Fuzzy's Triple Crown" will award $1 million to any driver who wins the Indianapolis 500, Pocono and the season finale at Fontana. Fuzzy's will give $250,000 to a driver who wins two of the three races.
IndyCar ran a "Triple Crown" at Indianapolis, Pocono and Ontario, Calif., from 1971- 1980 and from 1981-1989 at Indy, Pocono and Michigan. Only Al Unser won all three races in a single season, in 1978.
Fuzzy's entered IndyCar last season as the primary sponsor of Ed Carpenter's startup race team. The American concluded his first season by winning the finale at Fontana.
