Butler continued its solid play away from Hinkle Fieldhouse holding on to win at Cleveland State 52-49 Saturday afternoon. Chrishawn Hopkins hit the go-ahead basket with 1:38 to play. The Vikings Anton Grady missed a three-pointer at the buzzer that would of tied it.
Freshman Roosevelt Jones poured in a career-high 17 points, while Khyle Marshall added 12 points off the bench. Marshall had missed the previous two games with concussion-like symptoms.
Butler takes sole possession of third place in the Horizon League. The Bulldogs host Loyola on Tuesday.
