Butler to Atlantic 10 announcement expected tomorrow

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - After weeks of speculation, sources tell WISH-TV that Butler is leaving the Horizon League to join forces with the Atlantic 10.  The official announcement is expected Wednesday. 

The Atlantic 10, which is also reportedly interested in adding George Mason and Virginia Commonwealth, was looking to replace Temple after the Owls joined the Big East.

Butler will become the 14th member of the A-10, joining Xavier, Dayton, Duquesne, Charlotte, Saint Louis, UMass, Richmond, Saint Joseph's, Saint Bonaventure, Rhode Island, George Washington, La Salle and Fordham.

According to ESPN, Butler will officially join the Atlantic 10 for the 2013-14 season.
