Better Shooting For Butler, Dogs Still Fall

The Butler Bulldogs shot better Sunday in Anaheim but still fell to 19th ranked Clemson.

Coming into the game the Bulldogs were shooting 38 percent on the season and 33.6 in their last three games.

Sunday, Butler shot 54 percent from the field.

Gordon Hayward led the Bulldogs with 20 points. Hayward also had 12 rebounds.

Shelvin Mack had 15 points, while Matt Howard added 10, the only other player in double figures.

Willie Veazley had 7 points, while Ronald Nored and Zack Hahn each had 6 points.

Shawn Vanzant added 3 points for Butler, with Avery Jukes contributing 2.

The Bulldogs were 7 of 22 from 3-point land.
