Blue II gets social media award buzz

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - An annual tweet-driven competition that highlights the best in social media has Butler's Blue II in its sights.

The Shorty Awards aim to "engage hundreds of thousands of Twitter users to identify the best people and organizations on social media," according to the Shorty Awards website . This year, in the category of #college, Butler Blue II's Twitter account is currently atop the leader board.

“It's really a testament to the kind of following and the fans that he has; I mean these are people that have voted for him to be leading the Shorty Awards College Category and we were able to do that last year and that's why he's at the front now,” said Michael Kaltenmark, Blue II’s handler.
