The Marian Football team hit the road Monday for Rome, Georgia. They're gearing up for their showdown against Morningside in the NAIA Championship game on Thursday night.
Knights’ fans gathered today to send the players off on their 8 hour bus trip down south.
“It’s been a lot of hard work by a lot of people,” said head coach Ted Karras. “Six years in the making, and to get to this point is a big credit to our coaching staff and our players to come in with a sense of urgency each and every year and each and every day and to get to be on a big stage like this.”
Marian comes into the game ranked fifth with Morningside third. The Mustangs are undefeated.
