Reports: Kiel to transfer out of Notre Dame

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WISH) - Multiple outlets are reporting quarterback Gunner Kiel will transfer out of Notre Dame. 

The Columbus East product was a red-shirt last season. Kiel originally committed to Indiana. He then re-opened his recruitment and committed to LSU before finally enrolling early at Notre Dame. 

Kiel faced the possibility of being behind both Everett Golson and Andrew Hendrix on the Fighting Irish’s depth chart. There's no word on where he plans to enroll next.
