Tickets abound for Big Ten championship

INDIANAPOLIS - General public tickets for the Big Ten Championship Game went on sale July 30 and the NCAA says they were completely sold out within two hours.

Don't believe it.

24-Hour News 8 found out there are plenty of tickets available. Some at rock bottom prices.

At Fanfare Tickets in Carmel, the phones are ringing. Tickets to the Big Ten Championship game are changing hands.

"We are selling a lot of tickets and we will get through all of our inventory. But there are some great deals out there at the same time" said broker Renny Harrison.

He says some tickets are going for 60 percent off face value.

We looked at prices on Stub Hub and found prices ranging from $600 on the high end, all the way down to $14.

Harrison says there are a number of reasons why scores of cheap tickets are still available.

"I think Wisconsin has a great fan base but right now it is not a perfect season for Wisconsin so maybe people are a little but hesitant to make the trip down.... (Also) it's a short turn around time. It's a lot of seats to sell in a 6 day period. Because there are so many seats to be bought and sold there are a lot of seats floating around right now" said Harrison.

Tickets to the game will get you into the BIG 10 Experience at the convention center for free. The interactive family event goes from 10 a.m to 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Admission for those without tickets to the game is $8 for adults. $4 for children.
