Wisconsin beats Indiana 68-56 in B10 tournament

CHICAGO (WISH) - A dejected Indiana team left Chicago without the prize they wanted, but Wisconsin has had the Hoosiers number for years.

"There's definitely a frustration level," said Freshman Guard Yogi Ferrell. "I know the Seniors definitely wanted to beat them too so, you know I wanted to get that win for them but we just couldn't get it done."

"Certainly we would have liked to have won it but it doesn't undo what we've done up to this point," Coach Tom Crean said. "It doesn't undo any of that. We've had an excellent season, and there's room for growth. There's no doubt about that, but we would have liked to play better today, no question."

Indiana has been able to avoid a losing streak all season long, but now they expect other teams to use the Badgers' blueprint and slow things down.

"Wisconsin, that's what they've been doing all year." said Sophomore Center Cody Zeller. "We've been pushing the pace all year so we make it tough on teams to slow it down, teams that have tried it. But that's what Wisconsin does, that's what they're known for. I don't know how many teams can do it like they do."

Junior Guard Victor Oladipo agreed.

"They use a lot of shot clock and they run their plays to a 'T,'" Oladipo said. "That's pretty much it so, a lot of teams are probably going to look to beat us that way."

"A lot of teams have tried it this whole year, but there's only one Wisconsin," added Senior Forward Christian Watford.

A Big Ten Tournament Championship didn't happen for the Hoosiers at the United Center in Chicago. Most experts think Indiana has done enough to not only earn a number one seed in the Midwest, but the number one overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.
