INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Colts first regular season game is September 13th, against division rival Jacksonville. But the Colts preparation is already underway, much to the chagrin of some of the players.

Cornerback Kelvin Hayden says, "It's the time to put in the work and that's what we are doing right now."

The regular season is more than three months away but the colts are deep into their work needed to once again be one of the top teams in the league.

Head Coach Jim Caldwell says, "We have a chance to mold our team and develop the place where we are weak and try and strengthen our weakness all across the board."

Tight End Dallas Clark adds, "It's the best time of year coaches aren't quite psychotic yet and players, it's just fun, it's just fun, you just kinda, it's not too complicated we are not preparing for anyone we are just working on our offense and our defense."

And while most of the guys enjoy this time of year not everyone is keen on the idea of summer school.

Defensive lineman Raheem Brock is not a big fan, "Summer school just gets me ready for camp and I really don't like camp I don't know who does like camp.

Defensive back Melvin Bullitt adds, "I have to agree with Raheem the weather looking nice, I'd rather be on the beach something, but it is something we have to do."

And whether they like it or not ... they all know how important the work in the offseason is.

Raheem Brock remarked, "Everybody is looking good, everybody looks like they had a great offseason and working out. We don't see too many injuries and things like that. A lot depth. Everybody looks good right now."

Kelvin Hayden says, "Last season is behind you, it's a fresh start. You just want to take on the challenge of biting and scratching and getting ready for the season and preparing yourself to make it to the Super Bowl."
