INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Colts have three preseason games under their belt and one more to play. But before the last game, Thursday night versus Cincinnati, the team has to trim the roster to 75. The team cut four players Monday, one more will need to be cut by Thursday.
The team cut defensive back Michael Coe, defensive end Rudolph Hardie, defensive end Curtis Johnson and tight end Colin Cloherty.
Head Coach Jim Caldwell said, "I do think that any time you are dealing with aspirations and goals and dreams of young men with a lot of courage, that play this game for the love of the game, that it is not an easy day. Any time you have to tell a young man that his services are no longer needed here, there are some difficulties involved in that as well."
The Colts have a short week to prepare for the Bengals. Saturday, against Detroit, the starters saw the most playing time they'd see all preseason. So, the final game will be for the guys who are trying to prove they belong in the NFL.
