INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Colts will begin the New Year in Indy then quickly head to California. The team departs for San Diego on Friday.

Linebacker Gary Brackett will miss the game with a cracked bone in his lower right leg. It's the fifth straight game the defensive captain will miss.

The Colts have two other injury concerns. Starting guard Mike Pollak and backup center Jamey Richard both hurt their ankles in Sunday's 23 to 0 victory over Tennessee.

Bob Sanders who's also been dealing with injuries talked about the Chargers who like the Colts have come on strong the last half of the season.

"Both teams kind of just realized we had the personnel to get the job done you know when are you going to step up when are you going to have guys make plays. We had guys injured and just the guys that stepped in and both teams been able to make plays for us and just keep us rolling that's all we want we want guys to continue to get better and grow and I think they have had the same thing," said Sanders.

The Colts meet the Chargers Saturday night. So that means the Bill Polian Show will air Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Hear what the Colts president has to say before the team plays the Chargers Friday on WISHTV.
