Fmr. Colts player arrested for battery

    INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A former Colts player was arrested outside a downtown night club.

    Metro police arrested Chijioke Nwokorie just after 3 a.m. on Sunday outside the Ice Ultra Lounge at 235 South Meridian Street.

    An officer said he saw Nwokorie grab a woman by the arm and throw her to the ground.

    The woman told officers she was not hurt and that the incident happened as two went to look for a friend's purse when Nwokorie told her that he didn't need help going to look for it.

    On the police report the officer said he went ahead and arrested Nwokorie for battery because of how fast and hard the woman was pushed.
