TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WISH) - All-pro safety Bob Sanders has missed all of training camp because of his off-season knee surgery.
Sanders missed 10 games last year because of his knee and Tuesday, at Colts training camp, Colts owner Jim Irsay spoke out about when Sanders might be back in action.
"It's a long season and you know going into this training camp, we kinda figure it was gonna be something where he was gonna have to continue to rehab the knee, strengthen it and get ready for the opener. I think that there's a good chance that he should be ready for it and, you know, I think the last few years we've known with Bob that early on there’s just some monitoring that happens with great veteran players," Irsay said. "You have to you know allow them some time if they've got something that has to heal up, that they may have to practice a little differently, but he's worth it."
Sanders has also spoken with the renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr.
James Andrews regarding his knee.
