Next for Colts: the transformed Titans

Team celebrates AFC South title win

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Colts have won 20 straight regular season games, just one short of the NFL record, but that's not even one of the team's goals. Clinching the AFC South title is one of their goals and the team accomplished that one on Sunday evening.

The Colts found out about their sixth title in seven years while on the plane ride back from Houston.

"When we got word of the final score, we had a chance to announce it on the airplane and have a chance to go through a brief celebration, so it was fun." said head coach Jim Caldwell.

While the players have the next two days off to celebrate and rest, the coaches will start to prepare for their next opponent, the Tennessee Titans. Coach Caldwell said Titans QB Vince Young has transformed the team.

"He's playing awfully well and it's a different team then we saw earlier in the year, although the personnel is pretty much the same. But he certainly has added another dimension," said Caldwell.

The Titans have won five games in a row after losing their first six games.

"We are playing a different Tennessee Titans team coming in our place next Sunday, almost a new season for them." said Peyton Manning.

Since Young took over as the starting quarterback, the Titans have been on fire. Last week, Young took a page from Manning's book and finished with a 99-yard game winning drive on Sunday against Arizona.

"Very impressive, he did a tremendous job, played with a lot of poise and threw the ball accurately," Caldwell said of Young.

Colts President Bill Polian said, "(Young) is multifaceted, he can throw the ball accurately and he can throw it a mile. He has a very quick release, he can scramble if you rush him and he can run for touchdowns on the option play. So he gives you a dimension in the quarterback position that no other quarterback in the league really has since Steve Young."

The Colts and Titans will battle on Sunday at 1 p.m. on 24-Hour News 8.
