INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Stanford University quarterback Andrew Luck is excited to play in Indianapolis for the Colts.
The Colts announced this week they would take Luck with their first overall pick in the NFL draft.
“It’s a dream come true. I can’t wait to get out there and get started,” Luck told WISH-TV Sports Director Anthony Calhoun, who is in New York for the NFL draft.
Luck participated in an NFL Play 60 event Wednesday in New York. He told WISH-TV he’s relieved the news is out in the open about the Colts choosing him in the draft.
“It’s nice to hear officially and have the cat be out of the bag,” he said.
Luck has a busy few days planned in New York. The draft is Thursday, and he’s also scheduled to be on the David Letterman show Thursday night.
