INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Denver Broncos announced a news conference for Tuesday afternoon, one day after multiple media reports that the team will sign ex-Colts quarterback Peyton Manning.
The Broncos plan to speak to the media at 1 p.m. in Denver, which is 3 p.m. in Indianapolis.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter said via Twitter the team worked through the night on Manning's contract.
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay wished Manning well on Tuesday.
"I congratulate Peyton as he heads to a tremendous organization in the Denver Broncos," Irsay said in a statement. "We wish him nothing but the best as he continues his Hall of Fame career."
Manning and Irsay announced March 7 that the Colts would release Manning after 13 seasons with the Colts. Manning has been visiting with other NFL teams since then.
