INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - This season, it seems no matter the challenge, the Colts find a way to rise to the occasion.
“If we blew everybody out it’d be boring,” said Colts defensive end and WISH-TV analyst Cory Redding with a chuckle.
“The Cardiac Colts,” added Colts linebacker Robert Mathis. “We’ve been having these close games for a while now and so just happy to come out on the positive end of it.”
The Colts are now 8 and 1 in one possession games, but insist there’s no secret to their success.
“I kinda wish it wasn’t like this, that’d we’d come out in the first half and actually play well” said Colts linebacker Dwight Freeney. “Whatever the formula is, as long as we come out with a W, that’s all that matters. Guys have done just a tremendous job continuing to fight.”
“We believe in each other,” added cornerback Cassius Vaughn. “Through training camp and everything, we believed in the system and believe what we can do in this system and that’s the whole difference.”
“It’s unbelievable how special this team can be when we put 60 minutes together,” said Colts receiver Reggie Wayne. “We just keep finding ways to win but we just keep being resilient, keep pushing.”
