INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The NFL world has again descended on Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium for the annual scouting combine, where the top draft-eligible collegiate players interview and work out for teams ahead of April’s draft.
Colts general manager Ryan Grigson and head coach Chuck Pagano are in attendance, but they’re not the only Horseshoes in the house. New Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians is also on hand, returning to Lucas Oil Stadium after leading the Colts to the playoffs. The NFL coach of the Year, who stepped in when Pagano was ill, says he had to pause when he pulled into the stadium parking lot because he has so much to be thankful for. Arians also thinks Andrew Luck and the Colts will be fine in their new offense.
"Sky's the limit. I think returning back to his college offense it looks like won't hurt him,” Arians said.
Stanford Offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton has taken Arians’s position as Colts offensive Coordinator.
“It'll set the other guys back. It won't hurt (Luck), so he's just going to get better and better,” Arians said. “The guy is just so talented and so competitive — that's what you love about him. He has a great passion for the game like all the great ones; he's just going to get better and better. I'll never see a sophomore slump for him.”
As for what he’ll feel when the Colts visit his Cardinals this fall?
“It’ll be good to see the guys, and there won’t be any losers that day,” Arians said.
