INDIANAPOLIS (WISH-TV) - There’s been a shuffle on the Colts coaching staff. WISH-TV has learned that the Colts will be switching the responsibilities of two of their assistant coaches.
Ron Turner is taking over as quarterbacks coach, while Frank Reich will handle the wide receivers. Each held the other job last season.
Turner just finished his first year with the Colts. According to the team's website, the former Bears offensive coordinator spent nine years in two tenures with Chicago. Turner served 2005-09 as offensive coordinator after spending eight seasons (1997-2004) as head coach at Illinois. He was Chicago’s offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach from 1993-96. Turner is entering his 35th season in coaching.
Reich is entering his third season with the Colts. He previously served as offensive coaching staff assistant with the Colts in 2008. He was a coaching intern from 2006-07.
