INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Colts have selected four local organizations as the recipients of a health and fitness grant.
Local schools and non-profit organizations were invited to apply for individual grants from the Colts this year as part of the PLAY 60 Fitness Grant program.
Individual grants of up to $2,000 could be applied for to help with youth fitness programs.
This was the first year the Colts have presented the program, which is an NFL effort to promote at least 60 minutes of activity for youth each day.
The team has selected four local non-profit organizations to receive funding. Those organizations are Englewood Community Development Corporation – Englewood Deck Hockey Club, Camptown – Youth Leaders Program, Chase Near Eastside Legacy Center – NFL Flag Football League, and Eskenazi Health Foundation – S.T.O.P. (Stop Taking on Pounds) Program.
