Colts have 3 days to prepare for Jacksonville

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Colts face a difficult turnaround with a Thursday night game. They have only 3 days to prepare for Jacksonville.

“I’m learning as I’m going. I think it’s all a sped up process,” said quarterback Andrew Luck. “You get into the training room a little earlier, a little more, to flush the kinks out. Mentally it’s more of a crash course, be maybe a little later nights. Not so much free time. It’s a good deal and I’m looking forward to it.”

It becomes that much more difficult with the physical nature of Sunday’s game against the Dolphins. The team had several guys banged up including linebacker Robert Mathis. They all remain day to day.

“The recovery time from Sunday to Thursday is ridiculous, especially after playing a very physical game, and then to have to travel,” said Colts interim head coach Bruce Arians. “When you add the travel in, you may get some swelling out of your body, but on that airplane, you’re going to swell right back up. It’s just happened too many times, I’ve seen guys that go in the game, get off the flight, and can’t walk. The traveling part of it is an added problem to an injury. So it’s tough.”
