There was no rest for the Colts on Turkey Day; the team was back at the complex this afternoon for a full practice before Sunday's date with Buffalo.
The Colts are still recovering from last week's beat down by the Patriots, their first loss in 5 weeks. Nevertheless the team has a lot to be thankful for on the field: a winning record and a shot at the playoffs but of course it's the things off the field that matter most this time of year.
For Coach Arians, he was thankful for the Pittsburgh Steelers letting him go, giving him an opportunity to coach with the Colts this season.
“Truthfully, I couldn’t think of a better place to be at this point in time and to have felt more needed probably in my entire life,” said Arians. “So thank you Pittsburgh.”
For others like Vick Ballard and Andrew Luck, it all boils down to those things off the field.
“Just being healthy.,” said Ballard. “Health and family. There are a lot of people out there that are sick and in the hospital and without family so just health and family.”
“Very fortunate enough to be in this situation,” added Luck. “Great teammates, great city to be a part of, got a great family so I’m very fortunate.”
