ANDERSON, Ind. (WISH) - The Indianapolis Colts put on the pads for the first time Tuesday, giving fans a chance to see what the team really has to offer, while also giving players and coaches a better idea of what's to come.
"You see who is physical, just see what type of guys that you really have, see what type of guys you will be out there on Sunday with," said safety Antoine Bethea. "We really don't want a guy out there turning down hits and stuff like that."
As in his previous two days at camp, rookie quarterback Andrew Luck looked sharp with the exception of a tipped pass that outside linebacker Jerry Hughes turned into an interception.
“We tried to force a couple in there and I know Jerry made a nice play and they adjusted to the blitz on the one to Reggie (Wayne)," said Colts head coach Chuck Pagano. "Defensively, when you're down there, they're not scoring. We're going to force a field goal or force a turnover, and that's the mindset that we have for the red area."
The Colts are off Wednesday before returning to the field for more two-a-day practices on Thursday.
