INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Colts are now giving Hoosier kids more incentive to start reading at their local library. The Colts, teaming up with the Indianapolis Public Library, are encouraging kids across the state to start using the library's resources freely available to them.
The campaign entitled "Coltstrong, Librarystrong" will continue through Dec. 31. Quarterback Andrew Luck and tight end Dwayne Allen are joining the campaign to help sponsor the program.
"What I've come to appreciate now more than ever is that everything at the library is at my fingertips, including eBooks and online resources," said Allen. "Having a library card is like having a key to my own universe."
The IPL offers nearly two million books for checkout, study assistance, computer classes, as well as nearly 40,000 EBooks freely available for download with a library card.
The program is targeting kids ages 6-17 and each cardholder is automatically entered to win a visit from Luck and Allen at the library of their choice. Details are on the library's website .
