HOUSTON, Texas (WISH) - Another banner is going to be going up at Reliant Stadium, because for the second straight year, the Houston Texans are AFC South Division Champions.
They made all the plays they had to against the Colts, while the Horseshoes had way too many mistakes against a quality team.
"Obviously we can't come into a stadium like this and beat ourselves, blocked kicks, one for eight on third down and one for three in the red zone. Penalties hurt us and we beat ourselves" said Colts Interim Head Coach Bruce Arians.
Quarterback Andrew Luck agreed. "Falling behind early is tough against a team like this with a high caliber offense.
For our defense to keep us in the game, and then us not to really take advantage of those opportunities when they showed was I think a killer for us."
"Overall I think it was a tough loss for us. We came here with one idea and that was to win the division and we're not going to win the division.
They did it and my hat's off to Gary (Kubiak) and his staff and the Texans and we'll see them in a couple weeks." Arians hopes that outcome at Lucas Oil Stadium is different.
The silver lining is that the Colts came out of this game relatively healthy, and they are still just one win away from a very improbable NFL Playoff birth.
