Colts want stadium filled with blue

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Sunday's Colts game against the Packers is shaping up to be a throw down. Packer fans are expected to invade the city. That's why Colts coach Bruce Arians issued a call to action.

He wants those seats on Sunday filled with blue jerseys.

"I also have traveled against the Packers and with the Steelers and know how they can go in and take over a stadium, said Arians. "We can't let that happen."

Packers fans like Kevin Wall say "good luck with that." Wall flew in from Canada for Sunday's game. He's looking forward to seeing plenty of green inside Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday.

"There's lots of us around that's for sure. Usually everywhere we go there's a lot of Green Bay following so I'm sure there will be their share of Packer fans here Sunday too," said Wall.

Sunday's game comes after an emotional week for the Colts and their fans. On Monday news came that head coach Chuck Pagano is being treated for leukemia.

Pagano will likely be out for the rest of the season. Friday, ChuckStrong t-shirt production reached a point where the shirts are now on sale at the Colts Pro Shop.

Shirts cost $20 and proceeds from the shirts will benefit leukemia research at the IU Simon Cancer Center.

Sunday's game will be the team's first without its head coach. Ticket brokers say Green Bay fans started buying tickets early on.

"I think there will be a lot of Packers fans there. We've sold tickets to Packers fans over the last few months," said Renny Harrison who runs Fanfare Tickets.

The Colts want to see plenty of blue support in the stands.

"We do know the Packers are a team where the fans travel pretty deep so if we go out there and do what we are capable of doing, we won't even know they are in the building," said Colts wide receiver, Reggie Wayne.

Colts fans are standing firm. Ready to support their team and their coach.

"Colts fans always come through. No matter what happens, rain, sleet, snow. We're always there. I think we will make a good impact this year," said Colts fan Terry Sykes.
