As Colts fans made a B-line for the exits Sunday night following the team's loss, some fans were clearly disappointed. But others stood strong, confident that their Colts will return to the Super Bowl.
Colts fan Chris Alexender said he’s proud of the Colts.
"It was a magical season. I thought they’d make another comeback but, well, they just didn’t,” he said.
Fan Andy Deemer seemed to be taking the loss OK.
"I’m not shocked, just happy to be here. We'll be back. I’m not disappointed...well, maybe I’m a little disappointed."
One NFL stadium employee wasn’t about to try and hide his excitement over the Saints Super Bowl win.
"Who dat?" he yelled at unsuspecting Colts fans who passed by.
"Who dat Reggie Bush? Who dat Drew Brees?" he exclaimed.
24-Hour News 8 also met Scott, a Saints fan, who won a few bucks with his team’s win. His buddy, Sean, is a Colts fan from California who was not as lucky.
"Yeah, I lost some money. Maybe I jinxed ‘em. I am not happy at all with the conservative play calling by the coach or the effort of Reggie Wayne. He just didn’t give 100%. When he wasn’t getting the ball, he didn’t try," Sean said.
One Colts fan left the Super Bowl with mixed feelings Sunday night.
"I have a sick uncle from Louisiana and all he wanted was a Saints win. He's been a fan for 43 years," said Mike Roper from Marion, Indiana.
But Roper, a Colts season ticket holder who was wearing a Peyton Manning jersey, said the loss hurts.
"We love our Colts," he said.
