INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Immediately following the announcement that Colts Coach Chuck Pagano is battling a form of leukemia, fans and players started showing their support.
On a web page created by 24-Hour News 8, Deb from Avon left the message, "Just remember there are stadiums full of people surrounding you and your family in prayer. Get well soon Coach!"
"Tomorrow will be better. Keep up the good fight. Can't wait to see you on the sideline on a gameday very soon,” John from Lafayette wrote.
After their first practice with interim coach and former offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, Colts players also voiced their support.
“The foundation he's laid so far, I think it's now on our end to hold up the end of the bargain,” quarterback Andrew Luck said. “I think if we can come into work the way he's going into work, the way he did things, hopefully we will hold up our end of the bargain and see him back out here.”
“Knowing Coach Pagano, he's a tough guy, so this, just thinking about it now, if anybody can pull through from this, Coach Pagano can,” Colts safety Antoine Bethea said.
