The Colts confirmed that quarterback Peyton Manning had a third spinal surgery Thursday .

24-Hour News 8 asked a local orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Terry Trammell to explain the procedure and the potential effects.

The bottom line? Trammell said if Manning's recovery goes well, he should completely recover his abilities - the strength and accurate throwing he is known for as one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL.
