INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - NFL owners are gathering in Indianapolis for their spring conference.

The annual meeting usually takes place in the city scheduled to host the next Super Bowl, but this year's meeting is overshowed by the NFL lockout, now in its 11th week.

Jeff Pash, the NFL’s lead negotiator in the labor dispute, talked with 24-Hour News 8 and echoed his earlier comments that he would like to see the negotiations taken out of the court system.

“Well, I think everyone should be concerned because time is passing, and we need to be getting back together and working this out ourselves,” he said. “I’ll say this: I think there is a deal to be made. I thought for a long time there is a deal to be made. There is enough out there that we can compromise on, and we can have a game and an economic system that will work for everyone. “

The NFL owners meeting in Indianapolis officially begins Tuesday at 10 a.m., but a number of owners will take part in smaller committee meetings Monday evening.
