NFL: Colts victim of replay error

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - They admitted their mistake, now NFL director of instant replay Dean Blandino says it can't happen again.

Andrew Luck's pick six against Tennessee should have been overturned, but they didn't get the correct video angle down to the referee. Luck threw a second quarter interception from his knees that was returned for a touchdown by Titans linebacker Wil Witherspoon, giving Tennessee a 17-7 lead.

Blandino says you can see that Luck’s knee is down, you can see that Luck clearly has control of the football, but the referee never saw this angle because the replay official didn't send it down to the field.

It's unclear whether the failure was the result of CBS not serving up the video to the replay assistant or the replay assistant not getting it to the referee.
