Dion Waiters scored 25 points to help make up for the absence of Kyrie Irving. Shaun Livingston, starting in place of Irving, finished with 15 points as Cleveland held on for its third win in the last four games.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — The Dallas Stars beat the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-4 in overtime last night. Loui Eriksson fought off two defenders to get his stick on a rebound and jammed it in 3:03 into OT to give the Stars the win.

PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) — The San Diego Padres scored six runs in the fourth inning to beat the Cincinnati Reds 7-5 in exhibition baseball yesterday. Reds center fielder Shin-Soo Choo was 1 for 2 with an RBI in the third inning. Cincinnati starter Homer Bailey was effective in one inning. He struck out one, walked one and still needed just 15 pitches to get through the frame.

GOODYEAR, Ariz. (AP) —The Kansas City Royals topped the Cleveland Indians 4-1 yesterday in spring baseball. Both teams began the day unbeaten in exhibition play. The Royals improved to 4-0-1, Cleveland lost for the first time in six tries.

OXFORD, Ohio (AP) — Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh will be inducted into the "Cradle of Coaches" at his alma mater Miami University next year. Harbaugh's team won the Super Bowl, beating his brother's San Francisco 49ers 34-31 for the Ravens' second NFL title. He graduated from the southwest Ohio school in 1984.

CINCINNATI (AP) — In college men's basketball, Xavier beat Number 19 Memphis 64-62 last night. Xavier made good on its second straight chance to beat a ranked team at home. The Musketeers blew a 17-point lead before losing to VCU on Saturday.
