INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Keeping the season alive for Coach Pagano has been the Colts’ primary goal all year long. Now as Pagano prepares to head back to work Monday morning, the Colts have accomplished their mission, earning a playoff berth with a win over Kansas City.

“It’s a fantastic feeling,” said Colts interim head coach Bruce Arians. “Without getting emotional again, knowing that he’s going to be back Monday, and that the work week shouldn’t be as stressful.”

“We really wanted for his return to know we were going to have the post season. We didn’t want to slide in the backdoor and put that extra stress on a man having to win that next game,” added Colts quarterback Andrew Luck.  “We are very glad that we are going to the post season and knowing that Coach [Pagano] is coming back.”

Pagano is expected back at the complex Monday morning to meet with the team at 10 a.m.

He’ll then address the media at the Colts weekly press conference for the team’s head coach at 12:15 p.m., the first time he’s done so since early October.
