INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A player on the Indianapolis Colts practice squad was arrested for drunk driving early New Year’s day.

Tajiddin Smith-Wilson, 26, was pulled over for driving on the white lines and speeding on Ohio Street at about 3:30 a.m.

Smith-Wilson was very apologetic to the officer and said he was trying to take two female passengers back to their hotel.

The officer could smell alcohol coming from Smith-Wilson and asked him to get out of the vehicle.

Smith-Wilson blew a .13 and failed several sobriety checks. He was arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail.

Smith-Wilson is a wide receiver on the practice squad. He caught a touchdown from Jim Sorgi during the preseason.
