BALTIMORE (WISH) - in the past, Baltimore has refused to acknowledge the Colts by its team name. But the name "Colts" will appear on the scoreboard for Sunday's game.
One question heading into Sunday’s playoff matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens was how the away team will be acknowledged on the scoreboard.
In the past, Baltimore has not referred the Colts by its team name, instead using “Indy” on the scoreboard. As 24-Hour News 8’s Walter Allen reported this week, some bitterness remains in Baltimore after the Colts were moved from there to Indianapolis in 1984.
As of Friday, it still wasn’t clear whether Baltimore would put “Colts” on the scoreboard on Sunday.
WISH TV Sports Anchor Chris Widlic was inside the Raven's stadium Sunday morning and said the scoreboard said "Colts."
