INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Roncalli senior Kyle Kedra is a triple threat; he kicks for the Rebels football team, scores goals for the 10-3 soccer team, and sings and dance in the school’s show choir.
“I just think of it like, when I’m in college I won’t be able to do all the opportunities, so now I just try to still do them before I can’t do any of them,” said Kedra.
Most kids have trouble balancing one extracurricular activity, and Kedra juggles the trio with much success.
“It’s extremely tough,” said Kedra. “Leaving sometime practice early or not being able to go to practice because of a game, you just work around it and I’m just happy they’re letting me do show choir and all these sports.”
His coaches told us his commitment and hard work to each never waivers.
“It’s just incredible what he does,” said Roncalli soccer coach Matt Spalding. “The kid never goes home; he’s always at school.”
“I think what’s impressive about Kyle is that he does football and soccer and show choir and never loses his energy,” added choral director Joey Newton. “I think that’s pretty impressive.”
The senior is setting his sights on a career in TV for the future. He’d like to be a meteorologist.
