State football champions crowned this weekend

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - 5A:  Lawrence Central vs. Fort Wayne Snider, Saturday, 7:05pm

The Bears of Lawrence Central will battle Fort Wayne Snider in the 5A game. The Bears have been solid all season long. LC comes in 14-0 on the year and a win on Saturday will give the school it's first ever football state championship.

4A:  Cathedral vs. Mishawaka, Saturday, 3:30pm

Cathedral will face Mishawaka. The Irish are coming off an impressive victory last week against Columbus East. The 9-5 Irish will be going for their third straight state title.

3A:  Chatard vs. Hamilton Heights, Saturday, 12:00pm

The Trojans of Chatard are back playing for a state title. A win against Hamilton Heights would give Chatard its third straight 3A championship. The Huskies have won 13 in a row. This will be Hamilton Heights’ first appearance in a state football championship game.

2A:  Cardinal Ritter vs. Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, Friday, 7:00pm

In the 2A game, Ritter is back in the state finals for the first time since 2008. The Raiders will face Fort Wayne Bishop Luers. The Knights will be going for their 4th straight 2A title while Ritter will be looking to finish the year a perfect 15-0. 

A:  Scecina vs. Lafayette Central Catholic, Friday, 3:30pm

The weekend kicks off on Friday with Scecina taking on Lafayette Central Catholic in the class A matchup. The Crusaders come in riding a six game winning streak. Scecina will be thinking payback after losing to the Knight's in last's year’s title game.
