INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - A special celebration for the Indiana Fever is in the works in downtown Indianapolis.

Sunday night, the team took home the WNBA championship title in front of a hometown crowd at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The celebration starts at noon Tuesday on Monument Circle. The parade is expected to last about 20 minutes, followed by a program outside Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

A parade route will be from Monument Circle, south on Meridian Street to Georgia Street, then east to Pennsylvania Street, where a stage will be set up just outside of Bankers Life Fieldhouse. A float carrying Fever players will be escorted by Indianapolis fire and police vehicles, mounted police and a marching band.

The program after the parade will be led by Fever TV and radio voice Chris Denari. The WNBA championship trophy will be on display, and remarks are expected from team Chief operating officer and general manager Kelly Krauskopf, head coach Lin Dunn and players Tamika Catchings and Katie Douglas.
