Butler University says head basketball coach Brad Stevens has signed a 12-year contract.
A press release says the new agreement will be effective through the 2021-22 season. The release does not mention how much the contract is worth.

“(My wife) Tracy and I are thrilled and very thankful for the opportunity to continue to play a role for Butler University,” Stevens is quoted in the release. “We are already looking forward to the 2010-11 season.”
Stevens, 33, has completed three seasons at Butler. He became the second youngest basketball coach to lead his team to the NCAA championship game when the Bulldogs faced off against the Duke Blue Devils Monday night.
Stevens has been named the Horizon League coach of the year two years in a row.
“We are extremely pleased and excited to announce that we’ve reached a new long-term
agreement with Brad, and that he will continue to lead the Butler University men’s basketball program,” Butler Director of Athletics Barry Collier is quoted in the release. “Brad has demonstrated that he’s the right fi t for Butler University, and that he embraces and teaches The Butler Way. Our program has grown under his leadership, and we’re excited about our future under his direction.”
