INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Pacers will tip off their season on Wednesday night against the Hawks in Atlanta.
The Blue and Gold hit the floor without all-star forward Danny Granger. The Pacers star is listed as doubtful because of a bruised heel.
The team went 3-4 during the preseason and head coach Jim O'Brien said he likes his team heading into the season opener.
"We are a very unselfish group. We have to take care of the basketball better, turnovers have been too high. And we have to make sure we pressure the ball defensively without fouling,” said Coach O’Brien. “I think our guys know what we are trying to accomplish and they are working hard on it. And I think they are all keeping the turnovers down and keeping other teams off the foul line, keys to the season."
Tip time on Wednesday between Indiana and Atlanta is at 7 p.m.
