INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indiana Pacers have been very busy during this off season and free agent signing period. On Tuesday Larry Bird and the Blue and Gold introduced veteran NBA guard Earl Watson to Pacer fans.

The Pacers announced on Tuesday they have signed Watson to a multi-year deal, but terms of the contract were not released.

Watson has played 8 years in the NBA and last season played with Oklahoma City. He averaged 6.6 points and 5.8 assists per game for the Thunder.

Watson says he excited to be a part of the Blue and Gold, "It's an amazing feeling to actually come into a new situation, tons of opportunity, a great chance to actually introduce yourself to the city and to the state. It's gonna be fun, it's gonna be exciting to be playing with different players, you know, different skill sets, and as a point guard, you have great shooters, it's the greatest gift you can have besides a gift on Christmas. So you never know what could happen with that tons of things could fall into place. But it's gonna be exciting, especially where this organization is headed, it's a great opportunity."

“We’re very glad to have Earl as part of our team,” said Pacers President of Basketball Larry Bird. “I’ve been watching him for years. He’s a solid point guard that we know can help us on the defensive end.”
